Basketball Game

TRAVEL league program

The Travel Basketball Program is a program that runs the same season as the town Recreational Basketball Season.  Teams are made of players from Berlin, Boylston, and West Boylston. This program is designed for those players looking for more competitive basketball than what the recreational programs offer. Any player looking to play on one of the travel teams will have to attend tryouts. Teams are made up of only ten players and the teams are leveled by individual grades. The travel program does not combine grades, like the rec leagues do, nor does the program require fair play time.

The travel season is 10 games, which are played on Sundays and then if your team qualifies it will advance to playoffs. 5 games are played home at Tahanto Regional High school and 5 games are played away. Depending on your grade level of play and what division within that level the team is, we play towns like, Douglas, Hopedale, Uxbridge, Grafton, Marlboro, Mendon, Dudley, Northbridge, Shrewsbury, Spencer, Charlton, Oxford, Auburn, Sutton, Dudley, Millbury, Leicester, and Maynard.

REGISTRATION AND FEES

REGISTRATION

To tryout we need players to pre-register (link below) so we can have an idea how many teams we will be forming and if we have enough players to make those teams. Additionally, we are in need of coaches this season. If you love this game and have an interest in coaching, please email the program.

Travel residency requirements

Primary residence: Players must play for the town/program where they live the majority of the time. Player lives in Town A during the week with Mom, but lives in Town B on weekends with Dad. Player should play for Town A's team.

School choice: If a player lives in one town but attends a public school in another town and both towns support a travel program at his/her age level, the player may play for either program, but not both.

Private School/Alternative School: If a player lives in any of the three towns, but goes to a school other than the public school in these towns, he/she can still play for the WBB travel program because the player's primary residence is in one of the three towns.
